This is #2 in the series, featuring real sand, a real crab body (signature), real shells, and real beach glass. When I painted this one, it was just because I wanted a painting for our new Florida home that looked “beach-y”, I had no idea I was about to begin a new series of paintings that revolve entirely around a world that until now has only existed in my mind.
Thingz to note: They are eating “chips” and salsa. She is drinking mixed drinks of transmission fluid dispensed from what he is carrying on his back. Look into the bottom of her glass… now that’s a dirty drink. He on the other hand, is drinking Gulf Pride from the can as he gazes out across the vast, shimmering horizon. I chose Gulf Pride as his drink of choice simply because the new house is located on the Gulf side of Florida.
