Description
When I was young I had a robot that would walk a few steps, his chest would open up, he’d shoot some harmless sparks, then he’d resume walking while smoke came out of his ears. It was awesome!!! But you can’t buy that kind of toy anymore because it is “dangerous Will Robinson”!! You can buy reproductions… but they DON’T SPARK OR SMOKE.
So I decided to paint my displeasure with such ludicrous laws by painting this painting. Later I revisited the concept with another painting called “Smokin’ In The Toy’s Room”. Believe me, the carpet, the paint, the lead pipes, and the drinking water (Flint) of my younger days was far worse than anything that a sparking and smoking robot could have done. This painting reflects on the days when it was still acceptable for robots to spark and smoke.
Great art for any bathroom. Where else will you ever find a painting involving urinals that you would even consider giving a second glance? It will keep your guests amused and show off that sense of humor the boss didn’t know you had.
Oil and humor on Canvas.
